CLEVELAND, OH - TENANT CONCERNS OF SAFETY HAZARD - 3 YEARS CALLS GO UNANSWERED FROM STREET LIGHT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT TO FIX THE PROBLEMS

A family of 5 with 3 small children out of Cleveland Ohio has been dealing with it raining inside a bedroom growing mold, mildew and now possibly a fire hazard with an electrical problem possibly from the never ending water damage and it has spread from the Bedroom into the Bathroom producing more mold since 2021. 


For 3 years the tenants have consistently called Street Light Rental Management Company out of Cleveland Heights for help to get the problems fixed. Tenant says “they call, wait a few days and sometimes Street Light will call back or they won’t, and when they do call back it’s been the same issues and they come out and not fix the problem they do patch work and now I am concerned about a fire happening!"


Tenant claims prior to the last guy showing up, each time there is someone different to fix the problems and patches it up and claim they will be back and they never do, and now the damage has affected the electrical with lights flickering off and on, "you cannot use the bathroom lighting while putting on any other lighting, it’s a hazard said one of the tenants." The last maintenance man who patched it up 2 times prior and then came out on Feb 5th of this year never called back about the electrical problem, leak in the bedroom and in the bathroom, it is now an electrical fire hazard and they aren't even sure if he even told the management company of the problems.

In recent years Cleveland homes have been being purchased up and rented out with many different Property Management Companies handling Properties. Business Search in Ohio shows that Spanish Cay LLC who owns the home that Street Light Rentals manages has purchased additional 20 properties in the Greater Cleveland Ohio area, they are located in Wyoming and uses a WY UPS Box as their mailing address, it shows Sara Pearson at the Registering Agent in Ohio.

In Wyoming Spanish Cay LLC Registering Agent resigned Marie Hauer and Spanish Cay LLC is no longer in good standing in Wyoming and not registered as a business any longer in that State and gives another address Vancouver, WA PO Box. Additional searches have led to other Companies that Spanish Cay uses Companies Selling Land. At this point, the tenants are the ones that have to live with Mold, Mildew and a Fire Hazard while these Companies do not follow Tenant Landlord State laws of rental properties they own.
